Duarte Avelar

Duarte Avelar has a diverse work experience. Duarte started their career as a Systems Engineer III at YSI (Integrated Systems/Endeco) in October 2000. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining cellular communications to data logger equipment, programming, assembly, and debugging of remote sensing equipment, as well as IT work and mechanical assembly. Duarte worked at YSI until January 2008.

From January 2008, Duarte Avelar joined Savant Systems as a Software Engineer. In December 2012, they were promoted to the position of Software Technical Lead and later, in October 2016, they became a Senior Software Engineer. It is unclear when they left their role at Savant Systems as the end dates are not specified.

Duarte Avelar obtained a Master's degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Reliability, Computer Architecture, and Microprocessors from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Duarte pursued this degree from 2003 to 2010. Before this, they completed their high school education at the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, where they studied Electronics from 1998 to 2001.
