Deborah Muir is the Head of Awards & Compliance for International Programs at Save the Children Australia, a position held since May 2016. In this role, Deborah ensures donor-compliant grant management and oversees the implementation of best practices in award management. Prior to this, Deborah served as Program Manager at the Asia Pacific Journalism Centre, managing leadership programs for media professionals, and as Asia-Pacific Projects Manager at the International Federation of Journalists, where responsibilities included project development for capacity strengthening and media rights advocacy. Deborah's earlier career as an editor and media professional spans several news organizations, with a focus on not-for-profit work dedicated to children's rights following experience in Central America. Deborah holds a BA Honours in International Relations from UNSW and completed a Women's Leadership Development Program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
