Gareth Packham Cism

Gareth Packham CISM, CISSP serves as the Director of Information Security and Data Protection at Save the Children International (SCI) since June 2021, overseeing IT security and data protection management functions, while also acting as Chief Information Security Officer for the Save the Children Association (SCA). Prior to this, Gareth held the position of Head of Information Security Management at Oxford Brookes University from May 2016 to June 2021, where responsibilities included information security strategy and management. Gareth has also contributed as a trustee for YoungDementia UK between October 2017 and June 2019, supporting initiatives for those affected by young onset dementia. Previous roles include Information Systems & Estates Director and Information Systems & Technology Manager at Blenheim CDP, where leadership encompassed information management, IT, and information security functions. Gareth's career began at Price Waterhouse Coopers as Survey Team Manager. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Applied Plant Biology from the University of Nottingham.
