Leonie Schaefer

Leonie Schaefer is an experienced advocacy and campaign professional currently serving as the Advocacy & Campaigns MEAL Officer at Save the Children International since June 2022. In this role, Leonie collaborates with colleagues in over 100 countries to monitor, evaluate, and report on global influencing efforts, particularly in the realm of child rights. Prior experience includes a trainee position at the European Commission, where Leonie contributed to policy analysis regarding humanitarian aid and migration, and consultative work at the International Crisis Group, which involved organizing events focused on conflict dynamics. Leonie's educational background includes a Master of Science in Conflict Studies from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Sussex.
