Maren Christensen Bjune

Maren Christensen Bjune is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in child participation and political science. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor for child participation at Redd Barna since February 2017, Maren previously held the position of Project Leader at the same organization, focusing on children's involvement in peace efforts and issues related to asylum-seeking youth. Maren also completed a PhD at the University of Bergen, examining the interplay between religious change and political continuity in Guatemalan politics. Prior experience includes a role as a lecturer at Bømlo Folkehøgskule Olavskulen, teaching Latin American studies and Spanish. Maren's educational background includes a Bachelor in Social Sciences and a Master of Science in Comparative Latin American Politics from the University of Bergen and the University of London, respectively.
