Shilpa Surendran is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in awards management, particularly in the education sector, at Save the Children US. Currently serving as Senior Director of Awards Management for East and Southern Africa, Shilpa oversees a portfolio exceeding $65 million, ensuring compliance, effective project implementation, and financial oversight. Previous roles within Save the Children include Regional Awards Director and Senior Awards Manager, where responsibilities included budget management and new business development. Shilpa's earlier experience includes managing a significant portfolio of awards as a Program Coordinator and conducting research as a Livelihoods Intern. With a Master of Arts in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Shilpa is equipped with extensive knowledge and expertise in program implementation and donor relations.
