From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Maintenance Specialist at Liberty Square Apartments, where they used methods learned in advertising and marketing courses to research and create two print ads for the complex, routinely inspected and repaired apartments, and organized outdoor events. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Human Resources Intern at LG Electronics, where they worked with Indian and Chinese employees in the division, helped them understand the Korean culture and language, and developed a culture program for the division. Finally, from 2007 to 2008, they worked as an English Tutor at Brigham Young University, where they tutored members of the Hyundai Heavy Industries team during a 3 month English language program, maintained a professional appearance and attitude while tutoring, and taught English concepts simply but completely, translating into Korean when necessary.

Austin Hammer received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Utah in 2015 and a BA in Korean and Business from Brigham Young University in 2010.
