Michael Byrne

Michael Byrne has a diverse work experience in software engineering, primarily focusing on web application development and data management. Michael is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at SaVia Health. Prior to this, they worked at Collective Medical as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining Collective Medical, Michael worked at InComm as a Software Engineer IV. In this role, they were responsible for developing a Java/Spring/Angular web application that supported call center representatives in assisting customers from various financial platforms operated by InComm. Michael worked at InComm from September 2019 to October 2020.

Before their time at InComm, Michael served as a Principal Software Design Engineer at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Michael was involved in re-architecting software used by cancer researchers, with a focus on Angular 5 based user interfaces. Michael also worked as a Senior Software Design Engineer at the same institute, where they developed full stack web applications for managing clinical, research, and specimen data related to cancer studies. Michael'stenure at the Huntsman Cancer Institute lasted from June 2015 to September 2019.

Prior to their work at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Michael worked at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston as a Programmer Analyst III. Michael was responsible for developing and maintaining a Clinical Data Warehouse, which involved data integration, cleaning, and organization from various electronic health record and billing systems. Michael also created a Master Patient Index to merge and de-duplicate patient records from different data sources. Michael worked at the university from December 2004 to May 2015.

Michael Byrne attended Texas A&M University from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics.
