Managing Director and Head - Project Management Services at Savills India

Sumit Rakshit has extensive work experience in the real estate industry. Sumit started their career at Cushman & Wakefield in 2000 as a Project Lead/Project Manager, where they successfully managed high-profile projects, ensuring they were completed on time and within budget. Sumit was then promoted to Associate Director/Regional Manager, overseeing the project management business for South India and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

In 2007, Sumit became the National Head/Director of Client Solutions for Project Management, where they were responsible for the corporate occupier segment. Sumit developed strategic and operational plans and managed diverse projects such as data centers, corporate offices, and offshore development centers. Two years later, they became the Executive Director of Occupier Services at Cushman & Wakefield, leading the integration of real estate services for occupier clients.

In 2012, Sumit joined JLL as the COO of Property and Asset Management. Sumit initially served as the National Director of Operations, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the property and asset management business and implementing growth strategies. Sumit was later promoted to COO and continued to drive key initiatives, improve productivity and profitability, and provide strategic leadership.

In 2018, Sumit transitioned to JLL's global management consulting and professional services client account, serving as the CRM and MultiX Director. Sumit managed the customer relationship and played a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction and delivering effective solutions.

Since 2019, Sumit has been the Managing Director and Head of Project Management Services at Savills India. In this role, they are fully accountable for the consultancy and design/build business, focusing on delivering excellence in project management services and strengthening global relationships with occupiers.

Sumit Rakshit completed their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree at Jadavpur University from 1989 to 1994. Later, they pursued a degree in Building Engineering and Management (MBEM) from the School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi from 1995 to 1997.
