Rajika Nakkawita

Rajika Nakkawita has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rajika began their career as a Graphic Designer at Flatiron Magazine in 1998, where they were responsible for conceptualizing and designing the magazine. Rajika also worked as an Art Director at the same company, overseeing the finalization of content with photographers, illustrators, and freelance writers.

In 2001, they joined Activemap as a Freelance Art Director, utilizing their skills in Flash and Director to design and enhance the interface for map examples in children's education and real estate.

From 2004 to 2017, Rajika served as the Creative Director at Newmark Knight Frank, leading a team responsible for all corporate and New York design. Rajika supervised the development and maintenance of the brand identity for the company and managed the design and production of various corporate-based layouts, including advertising campaigns, websites, signage, and intranet.

At JLL, Rajika held the role of Senior Designer, Capital Markets from 2018 to 2020. In this position, they collaborated with internal brokerage teams to create sales flyers and books, ensuring they represented the company brand. Rajika also worked with national teams to maintain on-brand and up-to-date corporate marketing materials across print and digital platforms.

Most recently, Rajika joined Savills in 2020 as the Creative Director and Northeast Region Lead.

Rajika Nakkawita completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business Communications specializing in Graphics Communications from Baruch College from 1996 to 1999. Rajika also obtained certifications in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health in March 2018 and Preventing Workplace Harassment, for which the institution and date of completion are unknown.
