Alex Brown

Project Manager at Savion

Alex Brown is the current Project Manager at Savion. Prior to this, they were the Assistant Construction Manager at Burns & McDonnell from June 2021 to July 2022. Alex has also worked as a Subcontract Administrator/Civil Structural Engineer at Black & Veatch, where they were responsible for managing power subcontracts and participating in preconstruction bidding for various power projects in the transmission and distribution market. Alex also overhauled template scope of work documents across multiple disciples for the Black & Veatch Oil & Gas business unit.

Alex Brown began their career at Black & Veatch as a Structural Engineering Intern in May 2014, where they participated in international site visits to inspect seismic component installations and compile final reports for clients. Alex also worked on the Diego Garcia Water Treatment Plant Modernization, designing foundations for above ground water tanks, and evaluating the potential of Matlab to replace the current design software used by Black & Veatch, MathCAD.

Alex Brown has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the same school. Alex also has a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs and an Engineer in Training certification from the same department.

Alex Brown reports to Gary Parker, VP, Engineering, Procurement & Construction. They are on a team with Jared Luebe - Senior Project Manager, Angie Herje - Solar Resource Analyst, and Fallon Kider - Senior Project Engineer.
