Matt Stedl

Senior Development & Director, Energy Storage at Savion

Matt Stedl is the current Senior Development Director & Head of Energy Storage at Savion. Prior to this, they served as Development Director - Head of Energy Storage at Tradewind Energy, Inc. from October 2016 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for directing energy storage business planning, strategy, market analysis, project development, engineering, and procurement of utility-scale stand-alone and co-located energy storage projects.

Before joining Tradewind Energy, Matt served as Senior Director of Project Development at GlidePath Power Solutions from August 2015 to September 2016. In this role, they were responsible for developing a portfolio of utility-scale energy storage and generation assets in PJM and NYISO, which included some of the first RegD frequency fast regulation energy storage projects installed in PJM. Matt's responsibilities included strategic planning, project finance, due diligence, EPC agreement negotiation, engineering, permitting, and project management.

Prior to GlidePath Power Solutions, Matt served as Principal / Founder at Green Impact Partners from January 2013 to July 2015.

Matt Stedl graduated with their BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Matt then went on to obtain their Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Energy, Environmental, and Economic Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.

Their manager is Nick Lincon, President. They are on a team with Gary Parker - VP, Engineering, Procurement & Construction, John Larigan - Legal Counsel, and Alex Koval - Director, Portfolio Strategy & Execution.
