Prior to that, they attended the Community College of the Air Force from 1982 to 1987, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Electronics. Bob Pues completed their high school education at Hermann High School from 1974 to 1977, where they obtained their High School Diploma in General Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Bob Pues has obtained several certifications. These include the Dell Technologies Cloud Sales Badge from VMware, obtained in October 2019, and the VMware Cloud Sales Institute certification from VMware, obtained in July 2018. Bob has also obtained various badges and certifications in areas such as Artificial Intelligence Basics, Marketing Cloud Basics, Salesforce Einstein Features, Salesforce Platform, Service Cloud Platform, and Sales Cloud from Salesforce Trailhead, all obtained in January and November 2018. Furthermore, Bob Pues holds certifications in Red Hat technologies, including Cloud Automation, Cloud Management, and Platform, obtained in June and December 2016, as well as the Pure Storage Sales Accreditation obtained in March 2017. Additionally, they have completed the IBM Security Essentials Series in December 2016.
