Pavan Surya

Pavan Surya has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity, with a focus on Security Operations Center (SOC) roles. Pavan currently works at Saviynt as a Senior SOC Engineer, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at PlanSource as a Senior SOC Analyst from November 2020 to March 2023, where they were responsible for SIEM Use Case Management & Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response.

Before joining PlanSource, Pavan worked at Envestnet | Yodlee for several years, starting as a Project Trainee from October 2015 to December 2015. Pavan then progressed to the role of SOC Analyst from January 2016 to February 2018, where they worked on Security Incidents, Threats, and Vulnerability Management, as well as developed Use Cases and managed Splunk SIEM. From March 2018 to October 2020, Pavan served as a Senior SOC Analyst at the same company, further honing their skills in these areas.

Pavan Surya started their education at Bhashyam School in 2008, where they completed their High School studies with a field of study in SSC in 2009. Pavan then attended Sri Chaitanya College of Education from 2009 to 2011, earning their High School degree in MPC (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry). Pavan Surya continued their education at Godavari Institute of Engineering & Technology (GIET) from 2011 to 2015, obtaining a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree, although the field of study is not specified.

In addition to their formal education, Pavan Surya obtained a certification in Cyber Risk Intelligence and Incident Response from SecurityScorecard in June 2023.
