Jarno Ruusunen

Jarno Ruusunen currently serves as the Research and Development Manager at Savonia University of Applied Sciences since August 2022. Prior to this role, Jarno Ruusunen held positions as Research Director and Researcher at Pelastusopisto - Emergency Services Academy Finland from June 2019 to August 2022, and as Chief Executive Officer at Venacontra Ltd. from November 2015 to June 2019. Jarno Ruusunen has significant experience in research, having worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Eastern Finland from December 2015 to June 2017, and as a Researcher from June 2008 to September 2015. Key projects include the development of various materials and technologies, including graphene synthesis, nanoparticle research, and air-quality measurement initiatives. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Applied Physics, focused on aerosol science, along with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Physics, all from the University of Eastern Finland.
