Teemu Räsänen

Teemu Räsänen is a Senior Lecturer at Savonia University of Applied Sciences since August 2010, specializing in environmental monitoring, environmental technology, and waste management. Räsänen has also been a private entrepreneur at Ympäristöalan asiantuntijapalvelut since May 2012. In addition, Räsänen served as a Guest Editor for a special issue on "Artificial Intelligence and Water Management" for the International Journal of Environmental Technology and Management from September 2021 to April 2022. Previous roles include Founder and CEO of Preventos Informatics Oy (2018-2021), Project Manager at the University of Eastern Finland (2004-2010), Visiting Teacher at the University of Oulu (2005-2007), Researcher at the University of Kuopio (2002-2004), and Software Developer at Enfo Oyj and Tekla Oyj in 2001 and 2002. Räsänen holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) in Automation Technology (Environmental Informatics) from the University of Oulu (2011) and several other degrees in environmental technology and pedagogy.
