Michele McCormick

Michele McCormick currently serves as a Senior Digital Editor for Custom Products at Savvas Learning Company, a position held since October 2023. In addition, Michele has extensive teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Lake County since January 2014 and recently held a role as an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Lake Forest College until December 2023. As a Freelance Science Writer and Editor from January 2008 to December 2023, Michele specialized in writing and editing educational materials, alongside a role as a yoga instructor at Prairie Sunshine Yoga Studio. Previous experiences include a Science Content Editor position at Houghton Mifflin McDougal Littell Publishing Company, a Research Assistant at the University of Guam, and a Science Teacher at Wa'anae High School. Michele holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota and several advanced degrees and certifications in education and yoga instruction, including a Master of Education focused on Environmental Education and a Master of Science in Coral Settlement from the University of Guam Marine Laboratory.
