Brian Engel, CAIA, currently serves as Director and Head of Institutional Business Development and Consultant Relations at Sawgrass Asset Management, LLC, a position held since January 2024. Previously, Brian was the Director of the Institutional Client Group at Vontobel Asset Management from June 2019 to July 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Director of Institutional Business Development at BMO Global Asset Management U.S. and Senior Vice President at Mesirow Financial, where responsibilities involved leading client development for alternative investment strategies. Additional positions include Vice President roles at Advisory Research and Nuveen Investments, along with earlier roles at Foothill Capital and Heller Financial. Brian holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington, earned between 1995 and 1999.
