Tom Stout has extensive work experience in mechanical engineering and product development. Tom is currently working as a Senior Product Development Engineer at SawStop since November 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at nLIGHT from September 2018 to November 2022. Prior to nLIGHT, they held the position of Principal Mechanical Engineer at Radius from April 2016 to September 2018.

Before joining JohnsonDiversey Inc., Tom worked at JohnsonDiversey Equipment as a Manufacturing Engineer from June 2001 to February 2004. In this role, they supported various aspects of product manufacturing and equipment maintenance, including electromechanical assembly, harnesses, PCBA, sheetmetal shop, ultrasonic welding, and implementing manufacturing methods. Tom has experience with time studies using MTM for efficient manufacturing processes.
Tom Stout attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1999, they continued their education by studying Additional Engineering Course at Fachhochschule München until 2000.
