Sax Institute
The Sax Institute mission is to improve health and wellbeing by driving the use of research in policies, programs and services. Creating more opportunities to use research means the best evidence about what works can form the bedrock of policies that guide our health system and the services and programs that make it tick. This promotes better health and helps decision makers effectively invest limited resources. We are non-profit organisation; independent of any one university but with a large network of public health and health services research groups and their universities as members. We: - Build and maintain sustainable research assets to help answer critical health questions facing Australia - Drive research that contributes to policy through initiatives such as our Analysis for Policy program - Give decision makers ready access to research via our Knowledge Exchange Program - Lead international best practice in the knowledge exchange field by testing our approaches and contributing to the broader understanding in this area. One of the our key strengths is the expertise of our staff, whose breadth of experience and depth of knowledge continue to drive us in new directions.
