Phil Johnson

Phil Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Phil began their career as a Human Resources Representative at Quaker Oats, where they provided support to various manufacturing facilities and ensured positive employee relations. Phil then joined PepsiCo, working their way up from Human Resources Associate Manager to Human Resources Director, supporting multiple markets and overseeing unionized and union-free associates across manufacturing, sales, distribution, and warehouse locations. Phil also worked as a Human Resource Analyst Intern at Emerson Electric Co. before joining the Illinois Leadership Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Graduate Assistant. Currently, Phil is holding the position of Vice President, Head of Human Resources at Saxco International LLC, where they lead the HR organization and focuses on safety performance, diversity, talent management, and culture-building, partnerships with the CEO and leadership team.

Phil Johnson attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on Communication. Phil then went on to pursue a Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations (MHRIR) degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Labor and Employment Relations from 2009 to 2010.
