Laura Brewer

Laura Brewer is the Director of Research and IRB at Saybrook University. Laura has been in this position since June of 2018. Prior to that, they worked for the University of Phoenix as a Doctoral Research Faculty member from July of 2013 to June of 2018. In that role, they taught doctoral research courses to students across program areas, addressed faculty and student issues, developed and supported program goals, and participated in task forces and committees to address academic concerns. Laura also has experience as a Research Associate for PRES (Planning, Research & Evaluation Services) Associates from September of 2012 to May of 2013, during which time they contributed to all aspects of research including design, planning, data collection, and analysis/report writing. Laura is a skilled educator and researcher with a passion for higher education and lifetime learning.

Brewer's educational career began with a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. Laura then went on to get their M.A. in Sociology from Arizona State University. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Sociology from Arizona State University. Laura also has a certification from TCS Education System in Global Distinction.
