Tim Riker is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in open source projects and technology leadership. Currently serving as a Guru and Open Source Community Liaison at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since February 2011, Tim has a strong background in community engagement and engineering collaboration. Additionally, involvement with Debian as a Developer since 2001 includes maintaining the BZFlag package. As Chief Technology Officer at Saygus, Inc., Tim has contributed to embedded Linux development for new Android smartphones. With a history of leadership roles, such as Project Lead for BZFlag and previous CTO positions, Tim has specialized in Linux technology and software development across various organizations, including Caldera Systems and Lineo Solutions. Educationally, Tim attended Brigham Young University from September 1987 to 1990.
