Armando Leon

Armando Leon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the telecommunications industry. Armando began their career in 2002 as a Field Engineer at TES America Andina Ltda. Armando then joined Comcel in 2003 as an RAN Project Engineer and worked there until 2007 when they transitioned to Digicelgroup as a Rollout Country Manager.

In 2011, Armando joined Centennial Towers as a Country Operational Manager before moving to Florida Atlantic University in 2012 to pursue their Msc degree in Electrical Engineering as a LACCEI student. Armando completed their studies in 2013.

Armando returned to the telecommunications sector in 2014, joining Digicel Myanmar Tower Company as the COO, where they worked until 2015. In the same year, they joined SBA Communications as a Country Manager and later took on the role of South America Operations Director in November 2020. Armando's roles at SBA Communications are ongoing.

Armando Leon completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 1996 to 2001. Additionally, they completed an Advanced Management Program - AMP in Management at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, in 2010.
