John Bergstrom

John Bergstrom is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in application engineering and sensor development. Currently serving as an Application Engineer at SBG Systems since July 2024, John previously held the position of Staff Engineer at LORD Corporation, a part of Parker Hannifin, leading the development of inertial and environmental sensors for navigation systems. Additionally, John has been a Senior Engineer at LORD MicroStrain, focusing on Inertial Navigation Systems for autonomous vehicles, and a Manager of Gas Sensor Development at ZMD America, where responsibilities included the development of digital gas sensors for indoor air quality. John also served as a Design and Development Engineer at Atomic Machines and held a Director position for accelerometer products at Kionix, Inc. Furthermore, John has experience as an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and managed product development at EG&G Heimann Optoelectronics while establishing an R&D organization for MEMS accelerometers. Education was completed at Iowa State University.
