Sanjay Pugaonkar has extensive experience in information security and IT management roles. Sanjay is currently the VP & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at SBI Mutual Fund, where they are responsible for various leadership assurance activities and liaising with senior leaderships. Prior to this, they served as AVP & CISO at Tata AIA Life Insurance, where they implemented frameworks and provided cyber security assurance. Sanjay also held roles at Aditya Birla Group, Financial Technologies (India) Ltd, Tulip IT Services Ltd, and Pidilite Industries Limited, where they gained experience in IT security operations, network support, and network engineering.
Sanjay Pugaonkar completed a Management Development Program from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Sanjay then pursued a PGDM in Information Technology from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology through correspondence from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE) in Mumbai from 1998 to 2001. Sanjay also holds a Diploma in Industrial Electronics from BV Polytechnic, Thane, which they completed from 1997 to 1998. Additionally, they have a Diploma in Computer Technology from BV Polytechnic, Thane, which was completed before 1995.
