Mike Gardner

Mike Gardner has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Mike is currently working at SBI, The Growth Advisory as the VP of Finance and Controller since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at NetFortris as the VP of Finance from April 2021 to August 2022. From May 2019 to April 2021, they served as the VP and Corporate Controller at ncgCARE.

Before that, Mike worked at QTS Data Centers from June 2015 to June 2019, transitioning into the role of FP&A after the migration of accounting functions to corporate HQ. At QTS Data Centers, they designed and automated product P&Ls, developed performance dashboards, and improved operational review processes.

Mike also held the position of Controller at Carpathia, which was acquired by QTS, from July 2014 to June 2015. In that role, they upgraded accounting systems, enhanced month-end close procedures, and built automated reporting packets.

Prior to Carpathia, Mike worked at Simplexity (formerly InPhonic) from March 2006 to June 2014, starting as the Assistant Controller and later becoming the Controller (VP, Accounting & Finance). During their time at Simplexity, they implemented accounting and reporting systems, managed month-end close processes, and coordinated audit and tax work.

Before Simplexity, Mike served as the Assistant Controller at InPhonic in 2006-2007, where they designed month-end closing procedures, explored automation alternatives, and supported the CAO and Legal team during chapter 11 filing and acquisition.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked as an Assistant Controller at Trex Company from September 2005 to March 2006, managing accounting operations and ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Mike also held the position of Senior Manager of Finance at Verizon Avenue from April 2001 to September 2005, overseeing the accounting for fixed assets, purchasing, revenue reporting, and developer payments.

Starting their career at Broadband Office from April 2000 to April 2001, Mike served as the Manager of Accounting Operations, where they developed and implemented accounting and payroll procedures and established month-end close processes.

Mike Gardner earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from George Mason University in 1998.
