CRO - Control Room Operator - FPSO Sepetiba at SBM Offshore

Marcelo Zastawny is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience at SBM Offshore since July 2017, currently serving as a Control Room Operator (CRO) on the FPSO Sepetiba and covering Production Supervisor / Permit Coordinator roles on the FPSO Capixaba. Marcelo began as a trainee CRO in April 2020 and transitioned to an official role the following year, demonstrating expertise in remote operations, system monitoring, and emergency response. Prior to SBM Offshore, Marcelo gained valuable experience as a Senior Data Acquisition Field Engineer and Surface Well Testing Field Engineer with Schlumberger, focusing on data acquisition systems and deep water operations in Brazil. Marcelo also worked as a Production Operator at SBM Offshore and pursued academic studies in Electrical Engineering at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, complemented by practicum experience in Solar Energy at UNSW.
