Uma Oldham has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Uma is currently the Head of Audience Marketing at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia, where they oversee various marketing functions and leads a team of 22. Prior to this, they worked at Zenith as the Group Business Director and Strategy Director, handling notable clients such as Qantas, Honda, Lion, Reckitt Benckiser, and 20th Century Fox. Uma also served as the Director of Strategy, Communications Strategist, and Business Manager at Initiative. Uma began their career as a Media Planner/Buyer at Initiative and has worked in various roles at Acumen Partnership, London, Lowe Lintas Melbourne, and St Hilda's College.
Uma Oldham has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Law from Curtin University, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Uma also has a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Melbourne, which they obtained from 1999 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Uma has obtained several certifications, including "Leading for Results" from INSEAD Executive Education in December 2022, "Foundations in Design Thinking" from IDEO U in July 2020, "From Ideas to Action" from IDEO U in June 2020, "Insights for Innovation" from IDEO U in April 2020, and "Certified Scrum Product Owner" from the Scrum Alliance in November 2018.
