David Helps Jr., CPM, PMP, CSM, serves as the Chief of Staff for the Project Management Office at the SC Department of Health and Human Services since May 2022, focusing on the Strategic Plan's success through project management and process improvement. Prior roles include Director of Project Management at the S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control and various project management positions at the South Carolina Department of Education. David has also taught project management courses at Western Kentucky University and Midlands Technical College, and has been a credentialed instructor for PMP Boot Camps. With a solid foundation in IT management and business analysis, David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston.
