Velton L. Baldwin

Velton L. Baldwin, CISA, Security Plus, ABCP, currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at the SC Department of Health and Human Services, where responsibilities include cybersecurity strategy development and oversight of risk programs. Previously, Velton held several positions at BlueCross BlueShield of SC, including IS Security Analyst and Information Systems Auditor, focusing on security audits and vulnerability assessments. Prior experience includes roles as a Jr. IT Analyst at SCANA and an Information Systems Auditor/Security Analyst at Palmetto GBA, where Velton conducted security audits and managed complex system projects. Velton holds a Master of Arts in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Marketing from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
