Lee Ann Watson is a seasoned legal and governmental affairs professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as General Counsel at SC Housing, Watson also held the position of Executive Director at the South Carolina Retail Association and General Counsel at the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Goldfinch Winslow, LLC, and Campaign Manager for Tom Rice for Congress. Watson earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Furman University.

The South Carolina State Housing Finance and Development Authority (SC Housing) is the state agency that finances and supports affordable housing opportunities for South Carolina. Since 1971, SC Housing has financed more than 41,000 affordable homes, totaling $2.62 billion. We have also funded thousands of multifamily units across the state. The mission of our agency is to create quality affordable housing opportunities for the citizens of South Carolina. Our vision is that all South Carolinians have the opportunity to live in safe, decent, and affordable housing.
