Tom Marek

Tom Marek has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tom currently holds the position of Director of Business Development at SCADA International, where they started in June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chair and Vice Chair of the Town of Oro Valley Water Commission, providing advisory support to the Town Council on water-related issues.

Before their involvement in the public sector, Tom worked at Rain Bird Corporation as an International Sales and Marketing Manager, responsible for the global online web presence and eCommerce. Tom also held the role of Senior Manager at NGC Transmission Equipment (America), Inc., where they focused on wind gears for the Americas.

Tom has experience in business development, having worked as the Manager of Business Development at Moventas Oy and as the Director of Continuous Improvement Management at Vestas Wind Systems. Tom also has a background in power plant operations, having served as a Senior Operating System Manager at DTE Energy.

Tom Marek obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Baldwin Wallace University in the years 1991 to 1995. Tom then pursued further education at the same institution and acquired a Masters degree in Business Administration from 2000 to 2003.
