Jose Lugo has a strong work experience in the field of infrastructure and systems administration. Jose began their career as a Datacenter Deployment Technician at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, where they conducted site surveys, installed and configured servers, switches, and routers, and ensured the security of confidential data. Jose then worked as a Workstation Support Deployment Technician, where they imaged and deployed client workstations, provided technical support, and conducted quality control assessments. In January 2013, they were promoted to the role of Information Systems (I/S) Security Administrator, where they enforced security baselines, researched and remediated vulnerabilities, and installed software and security patches. Jose later joined Ellucian in 2013 as a Systems Administrator, responsible for designing, building, configuring, and securing Linux and Windows infrastructure, administering SQL Server instances, and managing server patching and reporting compliance using IBM BigFix. Most recently, they joined Scala in 2019 as an Infrastructure Engineer.
Jose Lugo earned a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Information Technology from the University of South Carolina, completing their studies from 2007 to 2011.
