Dr. Nikolay Robinzonov

VP Financial Engineering at Scalable Capital

Dr. Nikolay Robinzonov has a diverse work experience in the fields of financial engineering, quantitative strategy, research, and consultancy. Dr. Nikolay is currently serving as the VP Financial Engineering at Scalable Capital, where they are responsible for trading decisions and algorithmic investment models. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Financial Engineering at the same company, where they implemented and managed trading components and developed customized wealth management models. Dr. Nikolay also worked as a Quantitative Strategist at Scalable Capital, where they played a key role in the launch of the wealth manager and developed the investment model. Before joining Scalable Capital, Dr. Robinzonov worked as a Quant Consultant at DEVnet GmbH, where they wrote specifications for risk hedging tools and ported code for financial reporting. Dr. Nikolay also gained research experience as a Research Associate at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they developed machine learning models for risk forecasting and conducted computer lab courses. Additionally, they worked as a Student Assistant at the Ifo Institute for Economic Research, where they coded econometric models and co-authored a scientific publication. Through their work experience, Dr. Nikolay Robinzonov has demonstrated expertise in financial engineering, quantitative strategy, risk management, statistical learning, and econometrics.

Dr. Nikolay Robinzonov completed their high school education in mathematics at PMG Montana, from 1996 to 2001. Dr. Nikolay then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they obtained a Master's degree in Statistics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, from 2005 to 2008. Dr. Robinzonov continued their academic journey at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where they completed their Ph.D. in Statistics / Financial Econometrics from 2009 to 2013.
