Prior to that, Laurel operated a styling and interiors business from May 2021 to April 2022. Experiences at ELLE Decor as Market Editor from April 2019 to May 2021, and HGTV Magazine as Associate Lifestyle Editor from November 2014 to April 2019, included responsibilities such as coordinating editorial content, overseeing product selections, and contributing to magazine features. Early career highlights include roles at Charlotte Magazine as Style Editor, Weddings and the City as Planning Assistant and Website Writer, ELLE Magazine as Fashion Market Intern, and Teen Vogue as Features Intern, where Laurel developed skills in content creation, market analysis, and client relations across various platforms.
