James Walker

James Walker is a founding partner at Scalare Partners, where the focus is on funding and resourcing innovative technology companies aimed at creating a smarter and more connected future. In addition to this role, James serves as a Non-Executive Chair for both Native Mineral Resources and BluGlass Limited, an Australian cleantech innovator in semiconductor technology. Formerly, James has held Non-Executive Director positions at Cape, DW8, BEERLOVE, Sydney Beer Co., and Big Picture Education, contributing to various sectors including wine, craft beer, and education. With experience as Chief Financial Officer at Douugh, an AI-based neobank, James has a strong background in finance and technology. James holds a Commerce degree in Accountancy from UNSW, earned between 1988 and 1992.
