Alberto Madrid has over 28 years of work experience in the IT industry. From 1991 to 1993, they worked as a Network Analyst for Petroquímica de Venezuela, S.A. (PEQUIVEN), where they managed and maintained the logical, physical and workstations infrastructure of about 2K+ nodes LAN installed at PEQUIVEN’s headquarter. From 1993 to 1998, they worked as an IT Manager at Amanco de Venezuela, where they were responsible for the implementation and support of LAN/WAN, remote access, Servers and E-Mail of the company. From 1998 to 1999, they worked as a Project Engineer at Apricom Computers & Communications S.A., where they provided advice and consultancy services and was responsible for network design and implementation. From 1999 to 2002, they worked as the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) for Next Communications Inc., where they deployed, managed and supported a worldwide (Mexico, Europe, Middle East & Asia) Cisco VoIP network for a wholesale long distance carrier. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as the Service Delivery Manager for NGISolutions, C.A., where they lead the service delivery and support team of a Premier Cisco Partner. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as a Service Delivery Consultant for DESCA, where they were a Voice and network Security Consulting Engineer for a Cisco Gold Certified Partner. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as an Infrastructure & Communications - Specialist and D.S.U. Telecom & C.C. at BBVA Provincial, where they were responsible for the implementation and support of the bank's telecommunications platform at its headquarters and about 350 branches and 2.500 ATM nationwide. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Cyber Security Presales Engineer and Senior Implementation & Support Engineer for ESS ENTERPRISE STORAGE SOLUTIONS, where they were responsible for the deployment of Wi-Fi and Mobility solutions, Wireless Site Survey, Wi-Fi Heatmaps, LAN/WAN and Data Center implementation & support, and Cisco Systems Pre-Sales and Post-Sales support. Currently, they are working as a Cloud Engineer for Escala 24x7 Inc., where they are responsible for securing data and workloads in the AWS Cloud, deployment of security services and features, and Cloud Security assessment to identify weaknesses and areas of improvement.

Alberto Madrid earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences from Universidad Simón Bolívar between 1986 and 1991. Alberto has since obtained multiple certifications, including an NSA Information Systems Security Professional (INFOSEC) from The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) in 2005, a CCNA from Cisco in 2005, a VMware Certified Associate - Data Center Virtualization from VMware in 2013, an Understanding of Cisco Network Devices from Cisco in 2020, and multiple certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. between 2021 and 2022.
