Hector Ortega

Hector Ortega has been working in the IT industry since 2003. Hector started out as a Helpdesk Coordinator at Movilnet and then moved on to become a Senior Consultant at Grupo HardSoft. In 2004, they became an IT Consultant at Ruden McClosky and then in 2015, they were an IT Infrastructure Project Lead at Banplus Entidad de Ahorro y Préstamo, C.A. (Corporación AMAGI). In 2016, they held two roles, an IT Infrastructure Engineer at Seguritech and a Commercial Manager at Zend Technologies LATAM (NETMX). In 2017, they were a Senior Account Project Manager LATAM at Avalon Informática y Servicios. From 2019 to 2021, they were an IT Subdirector at Diverza - Soluciones de Negocios FNX, SA de CV, and is currently an AWS Cloud Project Manager - LATAM at Escala 24x7 Inc.

Hector Ortega completed their basic engineering course at Universidad Simón Bolívar in 1990-1991. Hector then went on to obtain a Técnico Superior Universitario in Tecnología informática/Tecnología de sistemas informáticos from Instituto Universitario de Tecnología Venezuela in 1991-1994. Finally, they obtained an Ingeniero in Ingeniería informática from Universidad 'Alejandro de Humboldt' in 2003-2007. Additionally, Hector has obtained various certifications from institutions such as Slack, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Atlassian, LinkedIn, SCRUMstudy, and CertiProf.
