Jorge M. Ovalles P.

Jorge M. Ovalles P. has worked in the IT industry since 2006. In 2021, they are a Cloud Security Leader (Pod leader) at Escala 24x7 Inc., where they are a member of the Security Operations Center (SOC) design and implementation team for security incidents requiring immediate response. Jorge M. is also the team leader for obtaining AWS Level 1 MSSP competency and is responsible for introducing AWS Security Best Practices to all deployments.

In 2020, they were a Sysadmin (DevOps - Based) at Zippyttech, where they were responsible for the availability, performance, monitoring, and responses to incidents of all infrastructures supporting the solutions.

From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Pasteurizadora Táchira as an Administrator of Networks, Infrastructure, and Security, where they designed, configured, and monitored the functioning of networks, communications, servers and services, operating systems, and hardware. Jorge M. also designed, configured, and monitored physical and logical security of the organization's data.

In 2014, they were a Project Manager - Leader at GlobalR, where they managed, controlled, and monitored software development projects under agile methodologies (SCRUM).

From 2009 to 2013, they worked at Banco Bicentenario bu as an Information Security Specialist and Process of Change Control Analyst. In this role, they set of security controls to protect the Core banking, established action plans to mitigate identified vulnerabilities, and certified processes and application development.

Prior to this, they were a Systems security analyst at Banco de Fomento Regional los Andes from 2006 to 2009, where they developed and implemented rules, policies, and procedures for the security of information assets.

Jorge M. Ovalles P. has a diverse educational background. From 2009 to 2011, they obtained a Licenciado en Administración mención Informática from Venezuela Job in the field of Informática Gerencial. From 2000 to 2004, they obtained a Técnico Superior Universitario en Informática from Instituto Universitario Tecnológico de la Frontera in the field of Programación de Sistemas. Additionally, they have obtained multiple certifications from various institutions, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), LinkedIn, Trend Micro, SWIFT, and Cisco.
