Austin Atsango

Austin Atsango is a Strategic Projects Lead at Scale AI and earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University, where they also served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant from 2018 to 2023. During their time at Stanford, Austin focused on applying machine learning techniques to study condensed phase systems and conducted nanosecond-scale ab initio molecular dynamics simulations. Previously, they were an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Vassar College and a Research Assistant at MIT, where they explored energy transfer mechanisms in quantum dot and organic molecule systems. In 2022, Austin participated as an AI/ML Intern at Genentech, contributing to a novel contrastive learning framework for drug discovery.
