Matt Gardner is a Research Scientist at Scaled Cognition since April 2023, with a robust background in artificial intelligence and language technologies. Prior to this role, Matt served as a Principal Researcher at Microsoft from November 2021 to April 2023, where responsibilities included leading the technology development for M365 Chat. Matt's previous experience includes positions as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) from September 2014 to September 2021, and several internships and roles at Google as a Software Engineering Intern and Research Intern from 2009 to 2014. Matt holds a Ph.D. in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University, completed in 2015.
