Aaron Rea

Aaron Rea is a Principal Cloud Security Consultant at ScaleSec. Aaron has over six years of experience in the cloud computing industry. Prior to joining ScaleSec, they worked as a Senior Cloud Systems Developer Lead at Cloudreach, where they built and supported infrastructure for a global customer base on the AWS platform. Aaron also served as a technical escalation point for their team and a liaison to other business units to facilitate product integration.

Before joining Cloudreach, Aaron worked as a Cloud Engineer - Managed Google Cloud Platform at Rackspace, the #1 managed cloud company. Aaron was responsible for building a product around support for the Google Cloud Platform from scratch and documenting best practices to help customers migrate to and succeed on the Google Cloud Platform.

Aaron began their career as a Systems Engineer at WellAware.us in March 2014. Aaron later transitioned into the role of Field Technician at Sun Print Management in August 2013 and then Field Services Technician at Scott & White Healthcare in May 2013.

Aaron Rea has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Physics from Texas Lutheran University. Aaron is certified by (ISC)² as a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), and by Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Aaron is also certified by (ISC)² as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), by Google as a Google Certified Professional Securirty Engineer and a Professional Cloud Security Engineer, and by Amazon Web Services as an AWS Certified Security – Specialty. In addition, they hold certifications from HashiCorp as a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, from Amazon Web Services as an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate Level, and from Amazon Web Services as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate Level. Aaron is also SaltStack certified as a SaltStack Certified Engineer.
