Bakari Brock

Advisor at Scalio

Bakari has been on Scalio's Advisory Board since company inception. As a long time advisor and confidant in business strategy and legal matters, he's played a critical role in Scalio's past and present successes.

Bakari joined Lyft as Director of Business Development in 2014. Prior to Lyft, he began his Twitter tenure as Legal Counsel in January 2010. He later served as Product and Business Counsel, supporting various areas including media, entertainment and developer partnerships, API platform and engineering, and intellectual property. He concluded his tenure at Twitter as Legal Director, Global Revenue, managing a team of legal professionals supporting the company's international revenue growth efforts.

Bakari began his career in Silicon Valley at Google where he was corporate counsel for YouTube after practicing as an associate in the intellectual property group of Kilpatrick Stockton -- now Kilpatrick Townsend -- with a focus on copyright litigation.

He received a degree in banking and finance cum laude and with honors from the University of Georgia. After a stint in the music industry as both a performer and artist manager, he graduated from Harvard Law School.
