Ted officially joined Scalio's Advisory Board in 2018 (while unofficially advising Scalio since 2013).
He is currently a partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers based in San Francisco, working on SoftBank's Vision Fund. Ted focuses on investments in consumer technologies and real estate. He is a SoftBank board representative for DoorDash, Wag, Globality, and Rappi.
Ted has held a variety of investing and operating roles during his career. Prior to joining SoftBank Investment Advisers in 2017, he led corporate development and strategy initiatives at Airbnb, which had acquired Tilt, where he was CFO and board director. Before Tilt, Ted was a founding principal of CapitalG, Google's growth equity investment arm. Earlier at Google, Ted was responsible for acquisitions and investments as part of the corporate development team, as well as a number of Google's largest technology and telecommunications client relationships within its sales organization. Prior to joining Google, Ted worked in strategy and operations at WebMD, in credit investing at Bain Capital, and in strategy consulting at Boston Consulting Group.
Ted graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in economics and concentrations in finance, marketing, and management.
