Alex de Taranto

Alex de Taranto is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and technical support. Currently serving as a Customer Solution Engineer at Scality since November 2021, Alex previously held the role of Principal Engineer at Veritas Technologies LLC, specializing in third-line support for various Veritas Infoscale products on UNIX platforms from July 2016 to June 2019. Prior to that, Alex was a Senior Technical Support Engineer at Symantec Corporation, providing support for storage and availability management products from June 2011 to June 2016. Additional experience includes freelance work as a Unix specialist and owning Parabolica Technology Limited. Alex's early career also involved hardware engineering at Powercore International. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Photographic & Electronic Imaging Sciences from the University of Westminster.
