Jens Søgaard has a diverse work experience in various logistics and management roles. Jens started their career in 1984 as a Production Planner at Farsø Møbelfabrik - System B8 - Dodilsen Furniture and then worked as a Driftass. - Supply Chain Ansvarlig at HYDROCAN - Skanem until 1996. Jens then became a Logistikchef at Vinderup Fjerkræslagteri until 2000, followed by a role as Koncern Logistikchef at Rose Poultry until 2010. Jens then joined HKScan Danmark as a Logistikchef, where they served until 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Group PMO Manager and Head of Group Business Development, Operation at Scandi Standard. Most recently, they held the position of Logistikchef at Rose Poultry A/S.

Jens Søgaard has a diverse education history spanning several years. In 1982, they attended Skive tekniske skole and completed a degree as a Drifttekniker. Moving forward, in 1988, they enrolled at Skive Handelsskole, where they pursued a degree in Merkonom. During this period, they focused on the fields of Organisation og strategi, Driftledelse, and indkøb. Later, between 1992 and 1994, Jens Søgaard completed an Intern lederuddannelse at Norsk Hydro, specializing in Den lærende organisation. Continuing their educational journey, from 1998 to 2001, they attended Skive Handelsskole again, achieving an Erhvervsleder Diplom. Moreover, in 2007, Jens Søgaard briefly studied Projektledelse at Storm Management and acquired a Six Sigma Green belt.
