Grace Li Haug is a Design Engineer at ScanMed LLC since August 2018, with a solid foundation in biomedical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where a Bachelor of Science degree was earned in 2018. Prior to this role, Grace contributed as an Undergraduate Researcher at UNC Shih Lab, where an automated data acquisition system for fMRI and integration of physiological-monitoring hardware into LabVIEW was implemented. Experience also includes work as a Biomedical Engineer at The Medical Innovators Collaborative, where collaboration with neonatologists led to the design of a high-fidelity neonatal simulator, and as a Design Team Lead at The Helping Hand Project, focused on low-cost child prosthetics. Additional roles in research and development include positions at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research and the UNC Biochemistry/Biophysics Department, where skills in project management, prototyping, and collaborative engineering were honed.
