Martin Jenness has extensive work experience in fabrication production and control. Martin has worked at Scarab Sweepers Limited since 1996, starting as a Welder Fabricator and progressing to roles such as Leading Chargehand, Senior Supervisor, Production Controller, and Fabrication Production Controller. In these roles, they were responsible for tasks such as analyzing MRP, rescheduling materials, creating workshop documents, checking stock, costing machine parts, raising purchase orders, and reporting on efficiencies. Martin also has experience using SAP planning software and Microsoft Office programs. Martin also has previous experience as a Welder Fabricator and Vehicle Body Repairer at the UK Ministry of Defence, where they were responsible for fabricating and repairing military equipment using various welding processes and carrying out body and chassis repairs on military vehicles. Martin completed a four-year apprenticeship as an Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker, where they gained basic training in various fabrication techniques.
Martin Jenness has a diverse education history in various fields. Martin attended the R.E.M.E. School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in Bordon, Hampshire in 1992, where they learned about MIG welding techniques using mild steel and aluminium armour.
In 1988, they also attended the R.E.M.E. School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, where they studied TIG welding techniques applicable to mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, and magnesium.
At Ashford Technical College from 1984 to 1988, Martin pursued City and Guilds Vehicle Body Craft in three parts (Part 1, 2, and 3).
Before college, Martin completed their secondary education at North Boys Secondary School in Ashford from 1979 to 1984, although the field of study is unknown.
In addition to their formal education, Martin Jenness obtained various certifications. In 2010, they completed a Risk Assessment Course from Croner Consulting. In 2009, they obtained an Occupational Health and Safety certification from NCFE. Furthermore, they received a Fork Truck Driving License from Mainsteam Training Limited in the same year.
