Anika Munir is the Director of Human Geography at Scarborough Campus Students' Union. Prior to this, they worked as a Development Intern at KingSett Capital, a Research Assistant at Mobility Network, and a City Councillor's Assistant. Anika has also worked as a Tech and Communications Expert at Urban Alliance on Race Relations.
Anika has a passion for research and planning, and has conducted research on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) planning projects as a Research Assistant at McMaster University and University of Toronto. Anika has also assisted in the preparation of development feasibility reports and research on planning bylaws as a Development Intern at KingSett Capital.
Anika is an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Anika has worked with individuals from different academic backgrounds and has the ability to share ideas and discuss projects effectively.
Anika has a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy and City Studies from the University of Toronto. They also have a Minor in Public Law. They are certified by the Urban Land Institute as a Student Member, the City of Toronto as a Toronto Public Service By-Law Training, and Cyber Security Awareness. They are also certified by Ten Thousand Coffees as a Ten Thousand Coffees Member, Google as an Advanced Google Analytics, and the Geography and City Studies Student Association (GCSA) as a Sustainable Urban Planning.
